Anne Kollar is a choral conductor, teacher, and singer currently living in London.

Ms. Kollar worked for many years in the United States, and was the founding conductor of SoLI (Singers of Long Island) - a group of 24 accomplished singers based in New York. SoLI quickly established itself as the premier chamber choir on Long Island, and still performs a busy schedule of concerts in both sacred and secular settings.

Ms. Kollar was also conductor of the Babylon Chorale - a vibrant community chorus with a 60 year tradition - whose repertoire embraced music from many different periods and cultures, and included performances of great choral masterworks, frequently accompanied by orchestra.

She taught choral conducting at Long Island's Adelphi University, and supervised student music teachers for both Adelphi and Hofstra Universities. She also taught a Choral Methods class at Long Island University, and postgraduate classes in computer programming and educational computing at New York Institute of Technology. Other appointments included Conductor of the Long Island Youth Honor Choir, and Conductor of the Long Island Children’s Choir.

Prior to these engagements, she taught in the Brentwood School District (N.Y.) where she was the High School Choral Director. During her tenure, Brentwood’s high school choirs won multiple national awards and accolades, allowing Ms. Kollar to conduct in many prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall. Ms. Kollar also co-authored the school districts's elementary school music curriculum.

She has been a frequent guest conductor, adjudicator and choral clinician in New York State, working under the auspices of NYSSMA, BOCES, The Long Island Choral Festival, and Performing Arts Consultants of Manhattan, and she also remains an active performer. As an alto with the Stony Brook Camerata Singers she toured Europe and Asia, and recorded two professional CDs. She currently sings with Hampstead Chamber Choir and Cantereas.

Ms. Kollar has been active in several professional organizations: ABCD, ACDA, Chorus America, NYSSMA, and SCMEA. She is a New York All-State vocal and vocal jazz adjudicator, has chaired numerous all-county choirs, and, as Chairperson of Vocal Jazz for the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), she conducted performances of the New York All-State Jazz Ensemble for the State Legislature in Albany N.Y. She also ran an active studio for young singers and pianists. Many of her students have gone on to become successful music educators and performers.

After moving to London, Ms. Kollar continued her conducting, and is currently the musical director of Cantereas, a vocal ensemble based in West Hampstead. She is a trustee of Proms at St Jude's music festival in North London, and chair of its Music Planning Committee.
